In the early 80s, fusion was all the rage. I decided to form a different kind of fusion band - rather than the standard of jazz guys adopting rock and pop styles over all, it would be three jazz horns, with two rock rhythm players that were not at all experienced in jazz. So, two worlds collide! But it all came out magnificently. I have remained especially proud of this project.
